The number one use for variable data printing in print shops is numbering tickets. I have created an Excel spreadsheet that uses macros to create a numbers file that you import into your favourite layout application or merge in office applications. The output is in the correct order for easy cutting and stacking of books of tickets.
This new version now includes numbering for Carbonless Forms (NCR).
This download contains a zip file including Excel Macros, sample layouts for Adobe Indesign, Quark Xpress, Corel Draw, MS Publisher and MS Word. This version is used by many print shops in Atlantic Canada.
